Welcome to Unbound: See where we’re working
Unbound Scotland is a new project empowering people to come together to take local, community-led climate action that supports good health in their communities.
We’ll be exploring local solutions with communities in Scotland, offering practical support across communities of place and interest in all local authority areas. We’ll be hearing from communities what action around health inequalities and climate impacts might look like.
A key part of this work will be to co-design a local community event to bring people in the community together to explore their vision and priorities around health inequalities and local climate responses.
Where we’re working
Over the last few months, we’ve been making connections and understanding local activity and contexts across the country, using both SCDC’s and SCCAN’s networks of groups and contacts. Through this intensive process, we have identified 16 potential communities we’ll be working with, organised by cluster areas, shown in the map here.
Each cluster will have a dedicated engagement team, and we’ll be highlighting local community activity and capturing key learning as we go.
What’s next
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be identifying the remaining areas where Unbound can build on local knowledge and skills to support climate and health activity to take place – and we’ll have more to share soon.
In the meantime, learn more about our community-led approach, background on the project, and meet the team.
